Virginia "Jenny" Burton, 75

"An ardent Elvis fan, Jenny was also a loving parent who treasured her family above everything else. Grandma Jenny or "GiGi", as she was fondly known, often doted upon her grandchildren and was generously devoted to all aspects of their lives. She was a skilled seamstress who delighted in creating custom momentos such as handmade Christmas stockings and quilts. Ever the avid gardener and chef, she was an excellent cook who used her expertise and homegrown vegetables to create unforgettably delicious culinary creations for any and all in need. She attended church regularly and volunteered with many civic organizations.

Her small town charm and warm smile combined with her strong faith, spirit, sense of duty and compassion for others attracted many life-long friends and admirers and made her a wonderful role model for all women. She fought valiantly and passed peacefully, surrounded by her family and is now resting in the loving arms of her Savior and God. Mom will be missed terribly by us and all who knew her."
