"My favorite memory of him was watching a squirrel in the neighborhood basically become domesticated and trust Andre enough to come to the door and wait to be fed. Birds and all animals flocked to his sense of calm and ease. He was kind and loving and treated everyone like family. He was a caretaker in our family, always making sure the younger children were picked up from school and everyone's needs were met. He was a constant pillar of strength."
